The 25th film the Sandalwood beauty Haripriya ‘Daughter of Parvathamma’ is also the first film of Sumalatha Ambarish after becoming MP. Both have rejoicing elements from the film. As an investigative cop Haripriya is superb in her bob cut, costume, cooling glass, walking style – like the other heroines she has made it hullaballoo with action sequences and hard hitting dialogues. Haripriya is like a cool breeze in this hot summer!

Coming to just elected Member of Parliament Sumalatha Ambarish – the role is sweet and she represents every home that is blessed with girl in the family.

In the family of Vaidehi (Haripriya) his mother Parvathamma (Sumalatha Ambarish) is behind her to get married in life. Vaidehi liked one boy when she was studying in the college – a Poojari. The weak mind of Poojari for having lost in examinations makes him to commit suicide. So Vaidehi has aversion to marriage.

Vaidehi as tough cop in COD takes up a case to solve. That is the murder of a doctor. The murderer has brilliantly made idea so that he is not caught. That is the tough challenge for Vaidehi to trace the real culprit. The culprit is over smart in this case and it takes a few breath taking situations for Vaidehi.

Haripriya is main stay of this film. She has got lovely opportunity to pick this kind of investigative subjects. Not going overboard she has given a settled performance. Kudos to J Shanker for carving such a role!

Sumalatha Ambarish is a cool Amma in this film. Sooraj, Prabhu have sweet roles, KS Sridhar is in dignified role.

There are two lovely tunes – one from the pen of Dolly Dhananjay is a beauty. The other one a melodious one in the range of light music is sweet. Midun Mukundan has got a lovely future ahead. The RR for the film is also impressive.

Cameraman Arul S has picked a few special shots in the film. This is a film to watch but you have to wait for an hour to get things going.
